Background

The engagement was to address significant cash flow pressures in a self-funded beauty business operating across manufacturing, retail, and online channels. It delivered a comprehensive cash flow stabilisation and restructuring program that enabled continued trading while laying the foundations for long-term sustainability. A rolling real-time cash flow forecast was implemented and supplier and creditor relationships were proactively managed to relieve immediate liquidity challenges.

Collaboration with management and the wider team strengthened internal financial capability and governance through improved budgeting, forecasting, and the appointment of a new external accountant. An integrated operating budget was developed, shifting focus from short-term cash survival to a structured long-term growth strategy, including working capital improvement and funding planning.

In parallel, support was provided in developing operational systems and processes, as well as pricing and marketing initiatives, to improve efficiency, performance, and long-term sustainability. This engagement stabilised liquidity, improved financial control, and positioned the business for sustainable recovery and growth – all achieved without external funding.
