Navin joined Cathro & Partners in May 2022 with over 20 years of insolvency experience across a number of national insolvency firms.
Navin has extensive experience in both personal and corporate insolvency.
He has gained experience across a large range of industries including mining, insurance, hospitality, engineering, renewable energy, educational resources, building and construction and telecommunication.
Navin is a Chartered Accountant, is a professional member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA), and is also a NSW Justice of the Peace.
Navin can assist clients in Hindi.
In his spare time, Navin enjoys playing golf, working on project cars and travelling.

Taffy joined Cathro & Partners’ Brisbane office in April 2024 bringing over 15 years of corporate and personal insolvency experience. He has worked on a wide range of formal and informal corporate and personal insolvency projects including Voluntary Administrations, Deeds of Company Arrangement, Liquidations, Receiverships, Bankruptcies, Part XI Deceased Estates and Part X Personal Insolvency Agreements.
Taffy is a member of the Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA).

Juli joined Cathro & Partners in May 2025 and offers her clients a unique background which combines 14 years’ experience in financial advisory and management, with 10 years’ experience in IT and systems management. She has held senior leadership roles in prominent business restructuring and insolvency firms, as well as in private sector retail and wholesale settings, and in the public education sector.
Juli brings deep expertise across a range of complex financial and operational matters, with a strong focus on restructuring and insolvency—covering both formal appointments and advisory roles. Her skill set extends to strategic financial management, including detailed reporting, budgeting, and cashflow analysis. She is experienced in conducting investigations and managing litigation, whether funded or speculative. Juli also excels in dispute resolution and stakeholder management, particularly in the context of significant transactions. Her capabilities include strategic reviews and the restructuring of business operations and capital structures, as well as overseeing the continued trading of businesses through to a successful sale or restructure. Additionally, she has a strong grasp of IT systems management and driving effective change across organisations.

Yan Zhong has over 10 years’ experience working in the corporate and personal restructuring and insolvency space. Joining Cathro & Partners in April 2024, Yan has extended experience in formal appointments including stakeholder management, sale of business and assets, conducing in-depth investigations and partnering with solicitors for litigation of a broad variety of claims.
Some of Yan’s specialist skills include financial analysis, solvency assessment, investigations/legal research; and asset tracing and recovery. Yan is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce/Accounting; and an Advanced Certificate in Insolvency (ARITA).
